McDonald's Global Flagship*

Formerly known as the Rock & Roll McDonald's in downtown Chicago, this 19,000 SF flagship renovation served as a test case for McDonald's global rebranding. The design aims to create a "pavilion in a park" in an area of the City with limited access to green space. Floor to ceiling glass curtain walls, an indoor green wall, and a hanging tree garden atrium invite pedestrians in under Chicago's first cross laminated timber commercial structure, while a solar PV array above supplies most of the building's electrical energy.
